Зорица Јанковић

Born and raised in Pančevo, she lives in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy (Department of History) at the University of Belgrade. She is employed at the Serbian Historical Museum as a museum advisor.
She has so far published four books: “Put u Carigrad – Knez Mihailo, predaja gradova i odlazak Turaka iz Srbije” (2006), “Caru na divan – susreti srpskih vladara i turskih sultana” (2008), “Pomislila na Srbiju” (2009) and “Istorija s povodom” (2009) — a collection of articles published in the weekly “Vreme”. She has also published 89 articles for the weekly “Vreme”, the magazine “Odbrana”, the Vuk Foundation yearbook “Danica” and “Pozorišne novine”, as well as a scholarly paper on the photographs of I. V. Groman in the First Serbo-Turkish War of 1876–1877.
She is the author of exhibitions organised by the Serbian Historical Museum: “The 125th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Serbia and the USA” (with which, at the request of our Government, she was a guest in Washington and Chicago in 2007) and “Assassination of a Ruler”, the most visited exhibition within the international event “Night of Museums” in 2008. She authored the permanent display of the Museum of the National Theatre, as well as over ten exhibitions organised by that museum in Belgrade. She is also the author of seven exhibition catalogues (three as co-author).
She is a recipient of the “Golden Badge” award for a long-standing and creative contribution to the spread of culture, as well as the Charter awarded by the “Narodne novine” newspaper of Niš based on its readers' votes. She has also received a letter of thanks from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia for successful cooperation in promoting universal cultural values.
